Inflation slows down to 6.9%

INFLATION slowed to 6.9 per cent in June as food prices continue to plunge.
According to data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), this new annual rate of inflation is 0.3 index points lower than the corresponding annual rate of 7.1 per cent observed in May.
The percentage change in the consumer price index in June compared with that of May is - 0.2 per cent.
