Types of Social Entrepreneurship/ Typologies

Rahim and Mohtar (2015) categorised social entrepreneurship into two basic categories, it is paramount to state that these entities fall into several categories also perceived as types of social entrepreneurs.
Never the less, Smith and Stevens (2010:578)  include: social bricoleur, social constructionist and social engineers.  This ideology is believed to have evolved from the conceptualisations of entrepreneurship by people like Hayek (1945), Kirzner (1973) and Schumpeter (1942) as cited by Zahra et al. (2009: 523). However, it is prudent to point out that since there is no generic definition of social entrepreneurship, these entities are characterised by different features since they address different social needs, how they find resources to solve different problems (Müller, 2012).
