Chinese govt offers 25 scholarships

THE People’s Republic of China has offered sponsorships for 25 fellowships at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
UNESCO has been tasked with identifying Swazis, who qualify for the fellowships in the 2010-2011 academic year. These are for advanced studies in various subjects with two in agriculture-related subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Information gathered from the UNESCO office in Mbabane is that the objective of the scholarships is to promote international exchanges in the field of education, culture, communication, science and technology as well as enhanced friendship among peoples of the world.
The fellowships, tenable in a selected number of Chinese universities, are of one year duration or less. Application forms should have reached UNESCO in Paris by April 30, 2010.
