Sports Council invite
members to semi AGM in July

SPORTS – THE Swaziland National Sports Council invited all members to the semi annual general meeting (AGM) to be held at the OlympAfrica Centre in July.
The Council’s Marketing and Information Manager Xolani Ngcamphalala said the meeting would start at 10am.
He mentioned that some of the issues to be discussed  included the chairperson’s report, presentation and adoption of audited financial statements, minutes of the last meeting and a report from the chief executive officer, amongst other matters.

NNAS meeting Saturday

NETBALL – THE National Netball Association of Swaziland (NNAS) invited teams, players and umpires to an important meeting to be held at the Police College in Matsapha on Saturday.
NNAS administrator Angie Thwala said the meeting, scheduled for 10am is meant to discuss preparations for the national league games to resume next weekend.
“We expect both senior and junior players to attend the meeting. I would also encourage them to keep time to ensure we discuss all that would be on the agenda,” she appealed.

Manzini Rotary Club to
host charity golf day

THE Rotary Club of Manzini will host their annual charity Golf Day at the Manzini Golf Club on Sunday starting at 8am.
The tournament is part of the club’s fund-raising drive from which the monies raised will assist finance the establishment of a schools book distribution centre and other deserving charities.
“We invite local golfers to participate in this tournament as their participation will assist in this project and others for the disadvantaged in our society,” said club secretary koekie Makunyane-Quashie in press statement yesterday.
She said the different clubs and players could contribute in several different ways, including cash, which entails purchasing a fairway or tee, by donating products to be used as prizes and also entering players as a team of four.
“For more information those interested can contact Cassandra Bastock on 7603 8694, Leonard Dlamini on 7603 3597, Harry Nxumalo on 7606 8668 or any other member of the Rotary Club of Manzini,” she said.
