Former Motshane MP Elijah sponsors schools tournament

SPORTS - Former Motshane Inkhundla MP Elijah Shongwe has once again sponsored schools sports knockout games under the constituency to start next weekend.
The tournament will feature six schools namely; Londunduma, Nkhaba, Siphocosini, Motshane, Sigangeni and Nhlanganisweni who will be competing on three sporting codes that are soccer, netball and volleyball.
The competition’s secretary Elijah Gama ran short of words to thank the former legislator for his continued support in developing sports at grass roots level. The former MP last year donated a sponsorship of E5 500 for these games.
“We are very grateful to have such people in our community who have the love of sports at heart, not doing such because they want to win votes. Shongwe lost the Parliament elections but he has continued supporting the community and has since increased his sponsorship this year,” Game said.
He further pleaded for co-operation for all participating schools for the smooth running of the competition.
