Ex-cop held for murder
A former policeman is being held by Big Bend police following the death of a woman whose body was found mutilated and burnt beyond recognition at Mampolo area over the weekend.
The suspect is believed to have been the woman’s boyfriend who is reported to have been the last person to see here alive.
Police PRO Inspector Azariah Ndzimandze there has been no leading information found by the police as yet. He confirmed the arrest of the suspect but declined to give further details saying police investigations were continuing.
However, well placed sources within Big Bend alleged that after the story was published in local newspapers, the deceased workmates reported to police that they were missing a colleague of the same description.
She is said to have disappeared from work with the company keys which made her colleagues concerned and suspicious about her disappearance.
She was employed by a certain shop at Big Bend when she met her death.
