Scribes get lessons on population
JOURNALISTS from media houses in the country will undergo training on population and development issues and reporting.
The three-day training staged by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), in collaboration with the national Population Unit (NPU), under the ministry of economic planning and development would be held at Esibayeni lodge, starting tomorrow.
UNFPA Resident Representative Aisha Camara Drammeh said the workshop would give journalists a better understanding of population issues and the role of UNFPA within the country. She said it would also give the journalist a better understanding of key issues in the areas of maternal mortality, gender, HIV, sexual reproductive health of young people and the linkages between population and development in Swaziland.
