Do not resist God’s timing
’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, “Thus saith the Lord!
This is a new week and we must change for the better.
Last week I experienced a very bad situation which I thought was over and I had to write the test and pass it, not by my power but by God’s that is upon me. After every pain there is compensation. Remember, a seed does not take root unless it falls to the ground (and dies). It will then change to something else and begin to grow. The seed would first of all look ugly, and you wonder why life is so unkind to it as to break it in the middle. But the truth is that it has to change before it brings out something. Often we experience a lot of disappointment which hinders joy and enjoyment, due to deciding for ourselves that something is being done in a certain way.
weary
There is an appointed time. Only God knows exactly when it is. Each and every one has his/her season; there are times when we feel that nothing is happening and it seems that no one, not even God really cares. You should never grow weary; God is sitting on the throne and watching everything. You know as I was praying to God He revealed something in my life which I will never forget concerning that situation. Though it was so difficult to accept but I had to take it to pass the test. The sooner the better, the delay the struggle continues. I had to put pride aside and put on His York because His is easy. He also told me to apply what I used to tell other women when they were being tested. Everything that comes my way as a challenge I give it a name so that when I think of it I cannot be hurt .You know when this one came a thought came to my mind that mafutsendlela and I automatically regained my spiritual strength. Ngoba kuke kwehle tigigaba nje titsi gilikidzi. You don’t have to scream, when you are a child of God, every challenge that comes your way takes you to another spiritual level uma utoyibamba ngendlela lefanele in fact kuyizithunywa zokukusondeza eNkosin”. Hey, boEsther, Ruth, Abigail, etc women in the Bible awesome things occurred to them but they pressed on so that their miracles might be manifested. Though Esther was a queen she once experienced a shocking situation when Haman wanted to kill all the Jews. Modeccai came and told her that she must go and plead with the king so that they would not be killed. Remember that no one was allowed to see the king unless they had been called by him, including queens. With the faith she had, Esther went to see the king and he accepted their plea so that Modeccai was installed as Prime Minister. Ruth’s husband died while she was very young. You can imagine the pain she went through as she started enjoying life with her partner all of a sudden he died. But God who never fails provided her with a wealthy man called Boaz. Abigail experienced a difficult situation when her husband refused to give King David something to eat while they were in the wilderness in Maon. (I Sam 25). Her husband Nabal refused to share with David and his men. Abigail knew that something bad would happen to her family because of what her husband had done and she eventually prepared something for the king.
carnal
God sees and understands what we don’t. He asks us to trust Him, not to live in carnal reasoning and be frustrated because things don’t always go according to our plans. I have realized that many people whom I had talked with concerning their challenges it is not that God does not love them but there needs to be a change in their lives.
Most of them had even lost their joy while they were going through the desert. Without abundant trust in God, we will never experience joy and enjoyment. We have ideas about how and when things should happen in our lives but God has the perfect timing for each phase. Fighting and resisting the timing of God is tantamount to fighting His will.
When God wants to advance or promote you, a change is required from your normal pattern of doing things. When the Lord wants to increase your territory, you require a change. When God wants to give you a new direction, a change is required. Some examples are; the way you talk, the way you dress, the way you see things, etc. We always think we will enjoy life when our breakthrough comes. It is very important to enjoy life while you are waiting for God, don’t wait to enjoy life when you have no problems.
remembered
I have just remembered a song which was sung when I was young that says “NGIKHULULIWE MAYIBONGWE INKOSI NGANGIBOSHIWE NGAMAKETANA AKASATHANE” don’t let the devil steal your joy. Enjoy life where you are, along the way to where you are going. Stay happy, Proverbs 17:22 A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.
Laughter not only makes the journey enjoyable, it also helps keep us healthy.
Worry and anxiety cause stress, which eats away at our health. Joy will quicken your faith and faith will carry you to your promise land. Way back I used to ask God kani ngiyophumula nini meaning when am I going to have peace, not knowing that emafutsendlela kumele abe khona as long as I live.
The Lordtold me to enjoy life if I wait for the challenges to stop that is why I once wrote an article under the topic “be happy where your are”. Get your mind off your problem; act as if all is well and at rest. It will be resolved a lot faster and you will be able to say life is enjoyable. Be blessed till we meet next Tuesday.
