CASES of bestiality are on the rise in the country with the latest victim being a pig from Don Don, an area within Bethany.
A month back, an elderly man was caught mounting a dog at Mafutseni and was arrested and convicted of this crime.
The latest abomination saw a pig belonging to Mcwasho Maphalala allegedly mounted by Vusi Sacolo in broad daylight.
Relating this strange occurrence, a source stated how patrons from a nearby shebeen were alerted by the swine’s painful screams that something was amiss and on seeing the not so common sight, descended on the young man and beat him to his senses. “After calling the police, the young man was taken to the hospital where he was treated with the expectation that he would thereafter be arrested for abusing the animal,” sources said.
Instead, Sacolo allegedly sneaked out of hospital and made a run for it. He has since disappeared from the community where he resided.
What is currently confusing the community is reasons behind keeping the animal alive after it was abused in such a manner.
“Who is going to eat meat from that pig after what that man did to it,” they ask in hushed tones.
They revealed how they would be happier having heard that it was slaughtered and burnt as they were uncomfortable with it around.
“What if it fell pregnant?” they asked stating that they dreaded the offspring tainted with the human gene. Despite efforts to explain that no offspring could possibly come from the meeting, they revealed how they feared that the pig could be tainted.
