FIREMEN ORDERED TO GO TO CHURCH

Fire fighters in the country are up in arms with management following a communiqué directed to their Officers-in-Charge and commanding them to ensure that they attend fellowship services held within the service on Tuesdays.
The hot-under-the-collar fire-fighters have dismissed such a communication minute dated May 15, as total madness and feel that the move will definitely not benefit them as officers. They have interpreted it as a way to force down their throats the Christianity religion, something they feel goes against their constitutional right to the religion of their choice. They have since vowed to continue shunning the fellowship services.
The memo written and signed by Swaziland National Fire and Emergency Services (SNFES) Deputy Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Dumisani Khumalo advises the Officers-in-Charge of stations, including those who are in charge of support staff, to consider the fellowship that is being conducted every first Tuesday of a month as a prerogative.
