King commissions E40m Metropolitan Church

His Majesty King Mswati III yesterday commissioned the E40 million Metropolitan Evangelical Church building at Fairview in Manzini.
The church is said to have a sitting capacity of 5 000 people.
The King was represented by Prince Simelane (Umbhekeli wemabandla) at the event themed ‘church dedication ceremony.’  The dedication ceremony was held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre and the unveiling of the plaque was done at the newly built church at Fairview.  The King’s representative also performed the ceremonial planting of the tree at church structure.
local pastor Reverend Anthony Matsenjwa told the King that the completion of the church building has not been easy for them.
He disclosed that the structure is the artistic imagination of a 39-year-old Swazi architect, Christopher Dlamini who hails from Mankayane sub-region.
Dlamini was also introduced to the King’s representative and was also thrilled to have seen his work come to completion.
